We also offer Emerald Recovery after surgery or a hospital stay, and maternity and postpartum support.

What is the difference between a home care agency and a caregiver registry?

A licensed agency like ComForCare employs every caregiver directly as a W-2 employee, handles payroll taxes, carries workers' compensation and general liability insurance, supervises caregivers, and provides a backup when yours is unavailable. With a registry, the caregiver is usually an independent contractor and your family becomes the employer, which can leave you responsible for payroll taxes and liable if the caregiver is injured in your home.

Yes. Every ComForCare caregiver passes a Level 2 background check through the Florida Clearing House and is trained to our standards, including DementiaWise certification.
